Augustus Caesar enters Alexandria .. Egypt under Roman control



 In the year 30 BC, Augustus Caesar entered the city of Alexandria, declaring the defeat of Cleopatra and Mark Antony, and declaring Rome's control over the most famous country in Africa.

Augustus Caesar received several titles in the stages of his rule, since his birth he was nicknamed Octavius, and after the announcement of his adoption in 44 BC he became Octavian, and starting in 26 BC the Roman Senate gave him the name Augustus, his father was a member of the Senate and ruler of the Republic Also Roman, his mother was the daughter of Caesar which gave him primacy.

Augustus Caesar was credited with transforming Rome from a republic into an empire during the turbulent years following the assassination of Julius Caesar the Great.

Augustus Caesar was distinguished by the shrewdness of military power, and he built institutions and laws to become the only ruler in Rome, and this made his empire continue in various forms.
