A brief introduction to Abu Bakr as-Siddiq


Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq is Abdullah bin Othman bin Amer bin Amr bin Kaab bin Saad bin Taym bin Murra bin Kaab bin Louay bin Ghaleb Al-Qurayshi Al-Taymi, his lineage meets the Prophet, peace be upon him, at Murrah bin Kaab, nicknamed Abu Bakr, and he is the first of the caliphs. Al-Rashideen, the first heralds of Paradise, was born after the Year of the Elephant to a noble family dear to its people.

 

 Abu Bakr, may God be pleased with him, was one of the nobles and notables of Quraysh before Islam, and in the pre-Islamic era he used to water pilgrims, and host people, they used to seek his help in their misfortunes and misfortunes; This is because they know of his good character, for they loved him and acknowledged his merit. He was also known for his generosity and generous spending of money, and he never prostrated to an idol; His astute mind and his sound nature made him reject that, and he prohibited alcohol for himself as well before Islam, and after Islam he became the courageous believer who defended the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and endured harm for the sake of religion and victory for the call.

He was described, may God be pleased with him and please him as being white in colour, thin in body, of good stature, and more cuddly; That is, he has a sloping back, delicate legs, light beards, and a beard dyed with henna.

The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, called him al-Siddiq because he used to believe in him a lot, and everyone agreed on his honesty. He was the first of the men to embrace Islam, and Lady Aisha, may God be pleased with her, narrated that when the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was taken to the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and he told the Prophet after his return with his news, people lied about him, and they started talking about him. Al-Aqsa Mosque! He said to them: Did he say that? They said: Yes. He said: If he said that, then he was true, so he was the first to believe in him and his call, and thus he deserved the title of Truthful One.

Abu Bakr as-Siddiq, may God be pleased with him, had married four women, they are: Qutila bint Abd al-Uzza, Umm Roman bint Amer, Asma bint Umays, and Habiba bint Kharga. And Asma’ with the two domains, Aisha, the mother of the believers, and Umm Kulthum, and all of his children embraced Islam, so his house was a house of faith, and his family were people of sincerity and faith as well.

Our master Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, may God be pleased with him, passed away on the twenty-second of Jumada al-Akhira in the thirteenth year of the Hijrah. The Qur’anic verse: (Take me as a Muslim and join me with the righteous) [Yusuf: 101] It was a sad day when people cried for their loss of the companion of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, the first to believe in him, and the most faithful and sincere people, may God be pleased with him and his approval.
