The first mosque built in Islam

Quba Mosque is considered the first mosque built in Islam; Where the Prophet - peace be upon him - founded it after his arrival to Medina, where he stayed in Bani Amr bin Auf for fourteen nights, during which the mosque was built before the Prophet completed his migration journey. Throughout the ages, Muslims have been concerned with the Quba Mosque; Where they renovated and expanded it repeatedly, until it became different from the structure it was in when it was first built, and among the caliphs who expanded the Quba Mosque: Caliph Othman bin Affan - may God be pleased with him - and the Caliph - Omar bin Abdul Aziz -, and the area of the Quba Mosque with Its facilities are approximately thirteen thousand five hundred meters.

The virtue of praying in the Quba Mosque

Praying in the Quba Mosque is of great merit. Where the Prophet - peace be upon him - was keen to leave his house every Saturday walking or riding to pray there, as the Prophet - peace be upon him - mentioned in the Sunnah of the Prophet the reward of prayer in the Quba Mosque, where he said: (Whoever purifies in his house, then came to the mosque Quba, and he prayed therein, he had the reward of Umrah)[2]. The scholars of the nation, including the scholar Ibn Baz - may God have mercy on him - have made it clear that the reward mentioned in the hadith is only for the one who leaves his house in purification and intends to pray in the Quba Mosque, as for those who are from the neighbors Quba Mosque or he accidentally passed by it and prayed in it; For those it is hoped for a great reward for praying in it, but the reward of Umrah is not written for them.
Doubling the reward for praying in Quba even though the Prophet - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - mentioned the great merit of praying in the Quba Mosque; However, it has not been proven that prayer is multiplied in it, unlike the three mosques mentioned by the Holy Prophet, which travel to and the wages of prayers are doubled, and the mosques are: Al-Masjid Al-Haram, Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi, and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
